Welcome to KC Dressage, led by head trainer Kelly Casey, we provide expert dressage training in a safe, positive and supporting atmosphere. Kelly is a USDF Gold Medalist and FEI competitor. KELLY CASEY MYKRANTZ - Owner & Head Trainer

In 2002, Kelly began her professional career - cultivating a unique ability to train horses and riders at every level with skill and tact that delivers results. Kelly’s daily training is systematic and goal oriented, which allows horse and rider to be successful both in the short and long term.  Kelly’s unwavering dedication to her clients’ success is the reason many of them have been with her for decades.

For over 10 years, Kelly has trained with Bob Tenwolde, (Hastrecht, Netherlands) embracing his methods of producing FEI horses. A licensed Bereiter, Bob spent many years working with some of the world’s best - among whom Dr. Schulten-Baumer has been most influential.  KC Dressage hosts quarterly Livermore clinics with Bob for KC Dressage clients and invited guests.


With Bob’s coaching Kelly has trained many horses to FEI and currently campaigns Dutch Warmblood partner, Emilion SA.  Look for his Grand Prix Debut in 2020!

KATE MULLEN - Assistant Trainer

Kate Mullen joined KC Dressage as assistant trainer in 2015. With a specialty in teaching adult amateurs and juniors, Kate focuses on correct rider position—leading to balance, effectiveness, and harmony in the saddle. Her unique ability to communicate “how” a rider can properly use their body in the saddle create many lightbulb moments for her students.  Avid Dressage riders wanting to improve their position as well as riders and horses new to Dressage will benefit from Kate’s practical and creative teaching.

In addition to being a current FEI Competitor and USDF Silver Medalist, Kate holds a Pony Club Graduate “A” Rating.  She also has had great success in developing young horses. Notably, she won many USDF/CDS championship titles with her imported Dutch Warmblood mare Elnieta.

 

Kate is currently preparing her Hanoverian gelding, Westpoint—previously owned and ridden by Charlotte Bredahl—for the Grand Prix.

ADRIANA ANGELICH - Assistant Trainer & Barn Manager

Adrianna brings a tremendous amount of knowledge to KC Dressage both on and off the horse.  As an overqualified barn manager, Adrianna brings the highest level of professional horse care to our equine athletes.  With a veterinary background from Peninsula Equine Hospital, her attention to detail allows her to notice the slightest variation in a horse’s condition.  Rest assured, your horse's care is Adrianna’s first priority. 

As an assistant trainer, Adrianna is also gifted. Previously a working student for top eventing trainers, Adriana developed her skills in working with young horses. Her positive approach, ability to understand the horse and patience with the process make her an excellent choice for young horses just started or difficult horses that are not suited for everyone.  In addition, Adriana teaches beginning riders and enjoys kids as well as adults.
